The XSL Working Group has been studying how to extend the language tosupport streaming, that is, the ability to transform source documents intoresult documents without holding either in memory. This paper describes thecurrent state of the work, as represented in the first Working Draft of XSLT2.1.This paper discusses a W3C Working Draft which at the time of writinghas not been published, and which is therefore not referenced in the paper.When it is published, it will be announced on the home page for the XSLWorking Group at http://www.w3.org/Style/XSL/.
